Welcome to LoCo Dance Co. We are a collective of dancers exploring the relationship between mundane gestures, human desires, task-driven experimentation, and character building. LoCo highlights movement’s ability to access memory of mundane gestures with a heightened sensibility, inviting human desire and physical instincts.
Founder and Choreographer, Louise Coleman is passionate about building alternate worlds that both resemble and challenge our own. Her work has the ability to connect the audience to memory, unlock hidden emotions, and leave feeling changed.
Louise’s work has been shown at Jack Crystal Theater, Greenspace, Governers Island (with The Craft), Arts on site (as resident choreographer with the Study Series), and soon to be featured in Pohler Dance Festival and Spark Theater Festival. Louise is also the recipient of the B. Wilson Foundation Grant in 2026.
